Now when you want to buy electronics, you can buy them for cheaper prices and recycle at the same time! How does this work? Radio Shack has a new program in 4,400 of its stores and online where you can bring in your old working electronics, have them appraised, and the appraised value will go towards your purchases that day. How cool is that?
So many working and non-working electronics are sent to landfills and Radio Shack makes it easy to recycle your electronics and get new ones. Maybe that IPOD you wanted for Christmas will be affordable now that you can turn in the printer you’ve had for eight years that works but is out of ink and you print for free at work, so it is just sitting there taking up space… or whatever story you have. I know I have 2 computers, 2 keyboards, 1 printer, and more electronics that work that I don’t use that were brought into the home by my husband… I think it is time to go to Radio Shack…
Now, the electronics you bring in MUST be in working condition and turn on when you plug them in. So, you can’t bring your old XBox that has not worked for 3 years… you should sell that on Ebay or recycle it at a qualified place nearby using the helpful Earth911 search.
Want to recycle some working electronics and buy new ones? Visit your local Radio Shack or do it online with free shipping. We love hearing about how companies are doing things to better the environment and help us save money!
